Oh god, that coin scene where he shoots coins is awful as well. Not to mention that to me, the real disappointment was that the master codebreaker wasn't Lando. About the same as he did in the OT. It's like you're getting this movie over and over and you just don't want to admit it to yourself. Instead we are given a Finn that choses completely the first order is his enemy, restoring his original character. There was no point to the adventure as Rose and Finn gain no critical knowledge or experience to be used later in the film. For Luke there was no other way- he needed training to eventually sense the danger his friends were in. The slow speed case is far more science based than Star Wars usually is. Holdos plan would never worked because it demanded it not to. On top of that Finn has gained further knowledge about the politics and slavery in the galaxy and he begins to take a morale position within it. Visit our wiki for a list of upcoming Star Wars media! Lol I thought the new alien designs were a huge disappointment. This plan was on par with Leia's Boushh plan, but doesn't pan out. Like they literally could have just stayed on the cruiser and everyone would have been in the exact same place at the end of the movie. They went to Canto Bight to get a code breaker. It felt too much like our world. Please note that even if formatted correctly, spoilers are only allowed in threads marked [Spoilers]. No one was saved that day. Besides just slowing the story down with something that didn't need to happen Moz could have gotten them the information in a different way and circumvented the need to go to Canto Bight. But he didn't and on top of that he really didn't suffer any consequences for failing. A bad decision made on purpose is still a bad decision. Instead the guy looks like a bad Bond villian. Holdo's plan was always to do what she did if Finn failed, so at the end of the day Finn could have just stayed on the cruiser and abandoned ship with everyone else and he would have been in the same spot he ended up in. Without disabling it the story was not impacted in the least by what finn and poe did. They leave with a code breaker. I can honestly imagine an Ood being in there. This is a nitpick but seeing everyone wearing tuxedos and a codebreaker that looked liked a rich playboy from kinda breaks the immersion of Star Wars being set a long time ago in a galaxy far away. I also did not like Rose very much. Thats probably the least of my worries though, because that sort of design probably shouldn't have constrained the creativity of the movie. I thought it was the best part of the movie, so many cool new aliens and special effects and lighting. The First Order destroys the transports. Perhaps it could've worked if that had been the only problem but people forget about that because of the core issues of the movie. It's very tense waiting for something to happen. He was also the only alien with significant screentime besides Yoda, so I don't see what your point is. Rich people lived and so on. I watched the movie without the canto plot and nothing changed and it made sense without the canto plot. The actions of the characters on Canto Bight influence the plot of the movie, especially the ending. Seemed like setup for something that was never paid off. Thats why we have a throne room scene, a hoth battle scene, a protagonist meeting a hermit scene etc. When Maz was describing him, I was so sure she was talking about Lando. Then again the prequels did a decent job at making most scenarios look alien, like the Opera house in ROTS. Flies the ship, fixes the ship, kicks in a door, has a few humorous moments. So sure on the off chance that happened they would have just lost the cruiser. Radar Guy: "It looks like there's a bunch of transports unexpectedly leaving the cruiser" Huxx: "Oh, shoot them down. But its an interesting observation. Because you could edit out the entire sequence and it would have had just as much impact on the over all story. DJ overhears them. To me it seemed very jarring in the narrative and took a lot of time away from the Luke, Kylo, and Rey plot. Then Finn and Rose go off - and it adds the question - How long did it take? His whole arc this movie is about learning to care for a larger cause. I'd hate to see just more robes again. Why doesn't the First Order notice their ship leaving? That they were trying to disable the tracker long enough to get away, well no shit Like I said if they'd actually have succeeded in disabling the tracker the story would be interesting. Lando betrays Leia and Han but then saves them. Again, nothing would change, trust me. The First Order only ran a decloaking scan because DJ told them about the transports. It didn't feel Star Warsy at all. It felt unnecessary and really screwed the pacing. If you read my previous comment, the story is not the same, the character development is not the same. It was jarring from a pacing perspective, served no real purpose in driving the plot towards its climax, and was filled with ham-handed dialogue. Mostly because if you remove the whole aspect of the film the plot literally doesn't change at all. Poe tells Finn about Holdo fueling the transports. That characters was literally a subversion of Lando, where he starts of good but then betrays them. As it is, the scene accomplished nothing, the kids are still prisoners and the animals will be picked up the next morning, lol. The so called victory is just stupid since the animals will be captured again. It builds it up like every SW misadventure and then sweeps your legs out from under you. It would make a lot more sense if someone like Lando was there. Canto Bight just doesn't fit within the context of the story. DJ and Rose are the devil and angel on his shoulders each luring him towards selfishness or selflessness. They could have just sat on the cruiser and actually trusted holdo and would have ended up in the same place. Yeah her plan was also pretty bad, I guess her plan was that the FO just wouldn't be looking at their radar screens. Luke is searching for training that eventually plays a hand in his ability to fight Darth Vader, and ultimately understand the Force and who he is in regards to it. How so? He played a part in surrendering the information that killed the majority of the remaining Resistance members. To me it just seemed like filler. I'm not sure why people expected Lando as maz described the code breaker. We also understand more of Rose's character and what drives her. Her plan was to cloak the transports. List includes movies, tv-shows and games. Keep in mind that he was not abandoning the resistance, simply trying to help Rey. They didn't look right for star wars, they looked like aliens from any generic si-fi movie. I don't really get the complaints.

Click here to contact the Discord moderators directly. In actuality it almost drives the plot backwards. Can you explain jarring regarding the pacing? She would have been like "former general and hero of the rebellion Lando Calrissian. Casino scene star wars 8 and time are mentioned over and over.

I tell you what, it looked dominoes ocean thirteen casino s an episode of Doctor Who, like the Space Titanic one where the aliens wear tuxedos. It's meant to be a space opera.

This movie is a remake of Empire and Jedi but they reverse everything. Tbh I don't care if it's "the point", I casino scene star wars 8 about whether or not the movie is good.

What plan exactly https://art-compas.ru/casino/covent-garden-casino.html they give https://art-compas.ru/casino/casinos-in-taos-new-mexico.html What about their fuel?

The writing is abysmal. Why doesn't the First Order bring in ships from other areas to help if Finn and Rose can leave for such as long period of time?

This guy's featured pretty heavily with Poe. Seems like a pretty different story to me. No it would have been a completely different story if Finn had actually succeeded in shutting down the tracking device.
