There are numerous complaints on Google about it, but Kobo's answer is that it is a house style. People here are good to help when they know the answer,.. You can also upload the epub to the KDP, so you have produced a file that works across all platforms. But it was rejected at Lulu, and no matter what I did there I couldn't get paragraphs to indent, at least not on the Adobe Digital Editions reader. I could also use that. People in the Lulu forums suggested the failure to show indents was probably just a problem with that reader, but I don't have any kind of eReader or an iPad to check things on, so I just gave up trying to publish with Lulu in any event, I wanted to publish there only to get the books I publish listed in the Apple store, where Smashwords already gets me, under my name as well--I'm a translator, and, unlike Lulu, Smashwords, an otherwise excellent platform, has a field only for a single author. This is the Kindle forum it belongs to Amazon it has nothing to do with Kobo. but they are acting out of the goodness of their hearts so even if someone knows, you are more likely to get help if you spread a little honey instead of vinegar. doesn't anyone know the answer? I had the same problem, but with Lulu rather than Kobo. I don't mean to be mean but you are starting to sound agitated because no one is helping you with Kobo that is not going to help matters a bit. You can't have a book without indented paragraphs? Hasn't anyone else noticed this? Reporting is slow, but that shouldn't matter much.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} If you still have problems, why not just have Smashwords--if you follow the Smashwords guide to formatting your Word document you'll have no problems with indents--distribute your book to Kobo?
